Church Livestreaming
Cape Town

Mignis Productions is a Cape Town video production company that has been helping churches connect their congregations since 2021. We handle everything — cameras, streaming, sound integration and post-service recordings — so your team can focus on the service itself. Whether you stream weekly on Sunday or need us for a once-off occasion, we show up prepared, on time, and unobtrusive.

Your congregation
is larger than your sanctuary

Remote members, elderly attendees, international family — the people who matter to your church are not always able to be in the room.

01
Remote Members

Members who have relocated, those living with illness, or anyone who simply cannot make it on a given Sunday can still participate in the service in real time from wherever they are.

02
Elderly & Homebound

Frail care residents and homebound members of your congregation should not feel cut off from communal worship. A reliable stream keeps them connected to the community they have built over a lifetime.

03
International Family

South African families are spread across the globe. When a loved one is laid to rest or a milestone is celebrated, family overseas deserves the chance to witness it — even from across an ocean.

04
Post-Pandemic Expectations

Congregations that discovered the value of online services during the pandemic have largely kept them. A consistent, high-quality stream is now an expected part of how modern churches operate.

05
Archive for Repeat Viewing

A recorded service becomes a searchable, shareable resource. Members can revisit a sermon that spoke to them, and newcomers can explore your community before setting foot in the building.

06
Technical Reliability

A volunteer with a smartphone is a start, but a professional crew with dedicated streaming hardware and a backup plan is the difference between a consistent online presence and a frustrating one.

Churches across
Cape Town & the Western Cape

Since 2021 we have worked with a range of congregations across Cape Town and the surrounding Western Cape — from smaller neighbourhood churches to larger multi-site congregations. Organisations we have served include Moederkerk, Communitas and Kruiskerk, alongside several others across the region.

We understand that each denomination has its own liturgical rhythm, its own expectations around how a service looks and sounds on camera, and its own congregation culture. We take the time to learn yours before we arrive.

Afrikaans Gemeentes

English Congregations

We are equally comfortable in English-speaking churches across the Anglican, Methodist, Baptist, Pentecostal and non-denominational spectrum. Whether your service lasts forty minutes or two and a half hours, we plan our setup accordingly.

Catholic Services

Catholic liturgy has a specific visual and ceremonial structure that benefits from thoughtful camera placement. We position our cameras to capture the altar, the congregation, and the officiant clearly — without interfering with the sanctity of the space.

Memorial & Gedenkdienste

Memorial services are among the most important occasions we cover. Whether the service is conducted in English, Afrikaans or both, we treat every gedenkdiens with the quiet professionalism it deserves. Our crew is briefed to be invisible where possible and respectful at all times.

nothing you don't

Our church packages are built to cover a complete service from arrival to post-production delivery — no hidden line items.

Multi-Camera Setup

We deploy multiple cameras to cover the pulpit, the congregation, worship team and any visual elements — then switch between them live for a broadcast that feels produced, not improvised.

When family can't be
there in person

We make sure they are there in spirit.

Grief is not something we treat lightly, and a funeral service is not a production we approach the way we approach a corporate event. When a family asks us to stream a farewell, we understand the weight of that responsibility.

Family members who cannot travel — whether they are in another city, another country, or simply too frail to attend — deserve to witness the service clearly and without interruption. A poor stream is not a neutral outcome. It adds distress to an already difficult day.

We understand this is not the moment for technical difficulties. Our crew arrives early, sets up quietly, and remains unobtrusive throughout. We do not bring equipment that makes noise during the service. We do not interrupt proceedings. We simply ensure that the stream is live, stable, and clear from beginning to end.

We accommodate short-notice funeral bookings wherever our schedule allows. If you are making arrangements urgently, please call us directly. We will do our best to be there.

Our funeral and memorial service coverage includes the full service from start to finish, a clean post-service recording, and quiet, respectful on-site conduct from our crew throughout.

IMAG for
large sanctuaries

In a large church — whether a cathedral, a megachurch auditorium or a community hall — members seated at the back may struggle to see the face of the person speaking. Image Magnification (IMAG) solves this by feeding live camera output to screens positioned throughout the sanctuary.

The result is a more engaged congregation. Every person in the room sees the speaker clearly, the choir expressively, the communion table or altar in detail. IMAG is not just a visual aid — it changes the quality of participation for everyone present.

We can add IMAG to any of our livestreaming packages. Because we are already deploying cameras for the stream, the additional cost of routing that signal to in-church screens is often modest. Ask us about combined livestream and IMAG pricing when you get in touch.

IMAG
How it works

Our camera operator frames the speaker or performer. The live signal is routed through our vision mixer and output simultaneously to your streaming encoder and your in-church display system. Everything happens in real time — what you see on the screen is what is happening on stage, with no perceptible delay.

We work with projectors, LED walls, and standard display screens. If your church already has a display system installed, we integrate with it. If not, we can discuss hire options.

IMAG is particularly valuable for confirmation services, Easter productions, Christmas programmes and any occasion where visual detail matters — the expression on a confirmand's face, the hands of a pianist, the moment of communion.

Questions from
church administrators

How much does church livestreaming cost in Cape Town?

Recurring weekly services range from R4,500 to R7,000 per service. This covers arrival, setup, the full service stream, and a post-service recording. Special occasions such as Easter, Christmas and confirmations are priced between R6,000 and R12,000 depending on complexity and duration. Funeral and memorial service streaming starts from R4,500.

We always provide a written quote before confirming. Send us your details and we will respond within one business day.

Can you handle weekly recurring services?

Yes, and this is actually where we do some of our best work. A recurring weekly arrangement means we learn your building, your service structure, and your team. Setup becomes faster, the stream becomes more polished, and your congregation gets a consistent experience week after week. We offer discounted rates for weekly bookings and will assign a consistent crew to your church wherever possible.

Do you stream funerals and memorial services?

Yes. We approach these bookings with care and take the responsibility seriously. Our crew is briefed to be discreet, to arrive early, and to operate quietly. We understand that a funeral is not an event — it is a farewell — and we treat it accordingly.

We understand this is not the moment for technical difficulties. Funeral streaming starts from R4,500. For urgent short-notice bookings, please call us directly rather than emailing.

What platforms can you stream to?

We stream to YouTube and Facebook as standard, and can run both simultaneously at no additional cost. If your congregation uses a third-party platform — a church streaming service, a private portal, or a denominational platform — let us know when you enquire and we will confirm compatibility.

We already have some equipment — can you work with it?

In most cases, yes. Many churches have invested in a projector, a fixed camera, or an audio mixing desk. Rather than asking you to set all of that aside, we prefer to integrate what you have with our gear. This often reduces the overall cost and makes use of infrastructure your church already owns. Tell us what you have when you reach out — even a basic inventory helps us plan.

How quickly can you be available for a funeral booking?

We make every reasonable effort to accommodate short-notice funeral bookings. If you contact us as soon as the date and time are confirmed, we will check availability and respond quickly. When a funeral falls within 48 hours, please call us directly — a phone call is faster than email in urgent circumstances. We will always be honest with you about whether we can make it work.
